Animated Joseki: Nadare ( O-nadare variation)
The animation will take a minute to load, and then repeat continuously
Nadare joseki offer black ( in this example) corner and side territory in exchange for white's building a wall towards the center. It is a simple idea that leads to a large family of more complicatd joseki.
"Nadare" [ nah DAH ray] is the Japanese word for avalanche. The first 6 stones on the board form the basis of nadare joseki. O-nadare means "big avalanche".
